If you’re doing any form of multi sport racing, or want to improve in any sport, you’ve probably heard of people who have coaches. Even most professional athletes will still have coaches, as coaches ensure they keep their athlete at their maximal potential, while balancing out social, psychological, and recovery needs. This ensures they are improving over their competitors and getting increasing their level of performance, whatever their sport.
Triathlon coaching is technically much more difficult than in most other sports. While training for a marathon, or a long sportive can be difficult, trying to improve in three sports at the same time, while managing family, job, fatigue, stress etc, and then trying to race over the summer, is a huge task to undertake alone.

What we offer.
Consultation, either on the phone, or in person, if possible, so your coach can fully understand where you are, and where you want to be. Even things down to which shoes you run in, and what equipment you have is taken in to account. Past injuries, past race results, where you want to be in 3, 6, 12 months time. Our goal is to get you where you want to be, or to exceed your expectations, so all information that can help us create the best possible plan, personalised for you, is useful!
Regular benchmarking tests on your swim, bike, and run, to measure progress, and so you can see yourself improve at a good rate. If you know you’re improving, it’s a huge psychological boost, and also helps us measure your progress and adapt the training, to continually provide the most effective training possible.
Unlimited contact on phone (within reason!), and unlimited whatsapp contact. I am a full-time, professional coach and I understand life doesn’t always conform to a schedule. If a meeting overruns, if you’re feeling tired, or even if you just don’t want to do a session one day, your coach will be on hand to adapt the week to keep it realistic, ensure you’re not getting too fatigued, and that it’s still balanced between the disciplines.
Power or Heart rate based training plans, or a combination. I feel that each has its own place, so if you have the option of either, I feel a mix of both at the right times is best.
All plans set through Training Peaks, and all benchmark tests, gym workouts, and thresholds recorded in google sheets for long term comparisons.

Phone feedback after major events to evaluate performance and adapt training to allow for any potential improvements. I always try to be at races if possible, especially A races, so I can get first hand feedback and be there to support my athletes!
Calendar planning. Your coach will go through the race calendar and yours, together, to create your annual training plan, and making sure they’re at the right times so you can be at peak performance for all your ‘A’ races. After this has been explained and agreed upon, the weekly sessions commence
All sessions set are for the week ahead, and sent to athletes beforehand to ensure it’s realistic and doesn’t clash with other plans, before being tweaked again until it fits into your week. We can then dynamically adapt during the week for any changes in schedule.
